I have an amazing group of students this year who are not only extremely creative, but very appreciative of everything I purchase for our classroom. My students come from a low-socioeconomic area in which 100% of my class receives free or reduced breakfast and lunch. Many of them come from families with very little and I work my hardest to provide them with a feeling of safety, love and respect on a daily basis. Our school is full of educators and staff that truly care for each and every one of our students and in talking to others, it is very apparent that we all go above and beyond to help provide for our students. Our administrators also do everything they can in helping provide the best environment for our classrooms; however, our given school budget does not allow for any wiggle room in purchasing additional items such as carpets for our classrooms. We definitely make the best of what we have and are truly appreciative of everything we do have. A carpet would be icing on the cake!
