These literacy centers will enhance the fun classroom atmosphere I strive to create. Children learn best through play! My students love playing games during our daily literacy center time and I love that they are practicing reading skills.
My classroom needs high-interest literacy centers that allow my students to practice vocabulary and comprehension skills in a fun way. These centers will also allow me to differentiate activities to meet the needs of all my students. My students will enjoy playing the reading comprehension games to practice important reading skills. They will be able to practice reading fluency by acting out partner plays. Building their vocabulary using a game will make vocabulary instruction more engaging. The High-Interest Reading Intervention Folders will provide more opportunities for my students to practice reading standards in order to achieve mastery. In order to meet reading standards, students need to be able to write about what they have read. My students who receive occupational therapy need to type their written assignments. The printer toner will allow them to print assignments in the classroom.
My students and I love literacy center time! I love that it gives me the opportunity to work with small groups on their level and that it allows my students time for independent practice of necessary reading skills. My students love this part of our day because it is fun! Please help me continue to provide engaging literacy centers so all my students can be confident readers.
