I teach science to 6th grade students, who continually impress me with their eagerness to gain knowledge and excitement to explore science. The school they attend consists of grades five through eight; however, our fifth and sixth grade pods are somewhat isolated from the upper grade levels. Many of my students come from low socioeconomic households, which presents them with barriers beyond their control. My goal is to provide my students with numerous opportunities they would otherwise lack.
