My students are currently sitting on the hard thin carpet in this almost 100-year-old school. It's honestly kind of gross. I want my students to want to go to the rug to sit together and learn. The current rug I have is way too small (fits only 12ish kids) and got fire coded meaning it is too flammable for a classroom. So now until I can raise enough money for a larger classroom friendly rug we are stuck sitting on the blue school standard classroom carpet.
This carpet will not only help create a lovely inviting environment, but it will also help with seating arangements and learning our letters, sounds, colors, and what it is like to be able to see, hear, and participate together.
This particular rug will also allow space for my class to grow as I know it will and it will allow space for children who do not like physical contact or who need space for other needs.
Our new rug will even let us play games, sort, make graphs, and so much more. Please help me to do this for my kids.
