The school I teach at is comprised of around 600 students in grades k-8, in the heart of an urban area. My students come from poverty where 92% have free or reduced lunch. A lot of the students I teach are performing just at or below grade level. With that being said they still come eager to learn but don't always have the supplies necessary to help compliment their learning.
