I work as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in 4 different schools, grades range from kindergarten to middle school. My students population is ethnically diverse (including many minorities). Most are low income. ALL have special needs that require extra help to achieve.
I only have about 10 middle schoolers, but these are the kids with the highest of needs. Being close to the base, many of my students have a parent in the military. That means a lot of moving around. Which impacts learning tremendously.
Because I travel to multiple schools, when you donate to a therapist, there is more potential impact on a wider amount of kids.
So for my kids, who cannot tell you this...thank you. Thank you for considering helping us.
