I have had the privilege of being an Early Intervention Preschool Teacher for the past 19 years with Pittsburgh Public Schools. I love working with preschoolers who have disabilities and their families. It is our job to give every child who walks through our doors a chance to learn how to play, take turns and share with others. Often times we are the first teachers a family may meet as their child begins their preschool career. We want those first steps into our classroom to be positive, loving and FUN! Many of our students will be learning how to come to preschool and follow a classroom routine. They need opportunities to use their words to speak and their hands to explore and play. We work with three, four and five-year-olds who have a variety of delays and/or disabilities. They receive developmental support, speech, OT & PT therapy in order to be successful. Preschool rocks and so do our students!
About my class
