Dear Friend:
Although my high school is in the bottom 5% of TN schools, we are working hard to increase literacy and you can help. Our high school serves a high poverty, majority minority community in Chattanooga. Our students are offered various educational programs to support their needs and to increase student achievement. Most of our students come from unstable home lives and face barriers to education that we try to remove but are continually on the minds of each child. All of our students eat for free. Recently, we have created a book club and created a new section of used graphic novels which have been popular with our students. This has led me to create a sitting area in our graphic novel section and plan to use some of the requested supplies to display the "anime" books. Your gift of any amount is appreciated.
