In the land of first grade, there is discovery, noise, excitement, and growth. My students come to school, ready to learn, eager to engage with one another. They thrive in a classroom that provides high-expectations, hands-on exploration, higher-order thinking, choice, and movement. They are provided unique and authentic learning opportunities throughout the year. This special group of first graders, own their classroom and take good care of the materials that are provided to them each day. Their voices are special and their voices are heard. While each one of them comes with a diverse background, we celebrate our differences and work together to become better as a group.
