Students at our school are enthusiastic and love music! They have been without music for the last several years. Now it's back and they are thrilled! Students can once again sing, play instruments, and learn all about music. Amazing things are already happening here. We have one of the only fifth grade marching bands around! We have a phenomenal drum line and some amazing recorder players. Students have performed in the CT Veterans' Parade and they are getting ready for a local neighborhood parade this spring. They perform for our school community on a regular basis and it's a big hit! Our kindergarten students can't wait to be in the band when they are old enough. We have a great school culture in place and the students are learning to take charge of their learning. I want to give them the power to learn and discover more independently. They are excited about starting music learning centers that cover topics like keyboarding, guitar, composition, literacy and even math!
About my class
