I currently have 8 students in my classroom, 1 girl and 7 boys. I have 2 kinder students, 3 first graders, and 3 second graders. They all have different abilities, interests, needs, but they all share one thing that makes them unique, they all have autism. I have 3 students that are able to express themselves verbally, they struggle a little, but they are able to get their point across. I have 5 students with limited or non verbal skills at all. They are the most amazing kids. I love working with them, not only teaching or helping them improve, but also learning from them. Every single person at my school knows how amazing my kids are. It is amazing how every person at my school, even students, worries about my kids and when walking around campus they take the time to greet them. I love working at my school because it is a great place where all educators share the same goal: ensure all students have a positive as well as successful academic experience.
