My urban 2nd grade class is filled with diverse learning styles, academic achievement, socio-economic backgrounds and realities, and cultural experiences. Yet, as young learners, we want to master the skills needed to become more engaged and successful learners. All students, regardless of language or economic backgrounds, become better scholars by understanding that they are a important part of a community. This community supports their progress towards becoming successful in school. We are a team. We are a community. Whether we are 7 or 70, our investments in time, talent, vision, and, even, dollars can impact our present situation and our future accomplishments.

About my class
