Many of my scholars struggle with organizing important notes and information that they have collected. The composition books will eliminate that problem. We will use the composition books for a interactive notebook for each subject. Inside each notebook will be everything the scholar will need for each standard. There will be graphic organizers inside, sections designed for notes, and examples for the scholars to refer back to when they are confused.
Scholars will be learning how to organize their work and resources around them to ensure they are able to work independently and learn. I am also asking for word building blocks. Many of my scholars struggling with reading and word recognition. The building blocks will be used for phonics and different letter recognition to help the scholar pronounce words that they may not know.
In small group, scholars will use the letters to spell different words and I will go around to each student and take a letter away. The scholar must identify how the word sound with the missing letter and tell me what letter is missing. Then, the scholar will place the letter back to pronounce the complete word. By providing my class with these supplies it will be setting my class up for success.
