I teach a very large population of African American and low income students. They have real world problems to deal with before and after school. Sometimes, they just don't have the support at home to get things done. I am trying to keep them motivated to want to pass Biology and graduate high school.
My students live in Waldorf, Maryland. They come from working and single parent households. They need teachers and adults like me to show them positive attention and encourage them by giving them rewards and basic supplies to get the job done.
