People think that kids these days are only interested in technology, but I promise you that this is not the case. Reading is an outlet for middle school students to live another life, learn about history and to escape into a new world! In our school, it is up to our teachers to purchase and keep a well-stocked classroom library. Our district has had to sacrifice our school's library to keep up with budgeting demands, but it is the students who suffer. Many series books are missing their first book and our library does not have the current books that the students are desperate to read.
Please help me keep my students excited about reading by making my classroom library a treasure trove of all the books they have heard about, but have yet to get their hands on!
I have visions of the kids seeing my new-and-improved classroom library and squealing in delight. You have never seen a more excited middle schooler than one that finally gets to read a book from their wish list. This is my first project on Ðǿմ«Ã½ and I appreciate any support you can give. Thank you, truly, from ninety-eight of the coolest kids you can imagine.
