Hello! My name is Andrea Hollifield. I teach in a Title I school in the metro Atlanta area where many of the students do not have access to computers or internet at home.
Our school is brand new and opened for the 2015-16 school year! Because of this, our classroom technology is limited. We are lucky enough to have 4 laptops in our room, but our students need more opportunities to practice with technology to become experts!
When my students graduate high school and go on to college, they will need to be proficient in technology. There are countless skills that are facilitated by the use of computers. They allow students to build on their communication, problem solving, decision-making, planning skills, and more.
My goal is to gather as much technology for my students to use as often as possible. This will allow them to become experts and open new doors that will help them succeed in their futures!
