My students attend a public K-8 school. The school is a diverse city school. My students are 6th graders who are discovering the joy of reading a variety of different novels from diverse authors. Multicultural literature is an important part of our curriculum. It helps students to connect to their own culture and learn about cultures that are different from their own.
