My students need essential oil diffusers and a selection of essential oils to help them in a variety of ways in our classroom.
Have you ever felt that you could use an energy boost during the day if you felt sleepy, a zing of caffeine to keep you energized, or a mug of tea to keep you focused? Students often need these extra boosts as well but are not able to have caffeine, a nap, or tea.
My students are a wonderful group of energetic fourth-graders that have a zest for learning. Our school day is long, and students can become sleepy, off-task, and in need of a little something to help them focus and get back to work. That is where essential oils come into play. Essential oils are a natural and safe way to give students what they need just by diffusing some into the classroom air and letting students benefit.
The essential oils and diffuser requested in this project have many different purposes. The diffusers allow me to diffuse the oils into the air around the room. Each oil has a special purpose: Oils to wake up a sleepy class: Lemon, Orange, Lime, and Peppermint. Oils to increase focus and concentration: Orange, Peppermint, and Frankincense. Oils to help students calm down: Peace and Calming, Citrus, Joy, and Lavender. Oils to improve behavior: Valor, Raven, Grapefruit, and Orange.
These materials would improve our classroom atmosphere and provide students with the little "extra" that they need, all while sanitizing the air in our room.
These oils will allow me to monitor the students and their needs and diffuse the appropriate oils in a responsive and responsible manner.
