I currently teach in a high-needs, low-income school and wouldn't have it any other way. We are about 65% free and reduced meals and also serve a high population of non-native English speakers and refugee families. I have 23 wonderful students who come from many different cultures, languages and home situations. Many of our students do not have access to technology outside of the walls of our school building. We often have students who come to school much more worried about things our of their control that small children shouldn't have to worry about or be responsible for. Our students want to learn and I strive to give them all of the best opportunities and tools possible to make their learning as positive as possible. We have an incredible and loving staff who work together to support each other, our students and their families and the community we work in. It is truly a wonderful place to work.
