Hello welcome to my page. My name is Debbie Smith. I serve as an Special Education Teacher in a Self-Contained Social Functioning classroom at a title-one school. I have students in my class with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) who have been identified with autism, speech and language impairments, learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, etc. In my class we work on IEP goals which provide students with individualized learning. The curriculum is based on the BEST Benchmarks and the Lee County Schools Academic Plan. Students in my class need social emotional, behavioral support and sensory needs supported. I have students who are verbal and nonverbal. I love my students and their unique ways they communicate! Our school was destroyed during Hurricane Ian and we are in a modular school. I am asking for help to rebuild my classroom. I am grateful. Thank you for visiting. Blessings ♥ï¸
