I have found over the years that the more I keep my students engaged the higher their retention rate is. Giving each child his/her own dry erase board & eraser will go a long way towards keeping them engaged. I will be able to assign problems for the students to work on as I teach and will be able to offer immediate feedback which is key! The pencil sharpener will save valuable instructional time as my students get prepared for our day. Another way that I plan to keep my students engaged is with a wireless presenter. In using this I will be able to move freely throughout the classroom during instruction rather than being tied to the mouse.
