Although my classroom is carpeted, my first grade students struggle to stay in the meeting area during mini lessons because there is no visible boundary. We have tried tape and fabric squares, but both seem too distracting for my students.
This meeting area rug has colored squares so each students will be able to have their own personal space. This will also help with some spacing issues that we have had while in the meeting area as well. I know that this will help my students understand where they need to sit during lessons and have their focus be on what they are learning.
