One of my favorite things to do for students is give them the opportunity to choose. Choice in a classroom is huge for students and I have seen the impact it can make on student responsibility and motivation. Students want to take ownership for their learning. Flexible seating is a great way to start this.
Students need choice and love when they get the opportunity to choose.
The items I chose to include in my cart provide students with three different choices for seating. Students will be able to use the lap desks to move freely throughout the room, choosing a different location each time! The wobble and ball seats will allow students to wiggle and bounce while they work without disrupting their peers. All three of the options are choices that students can make that make their learning more suitable to them. I have seen flexible seating in action and am so ready to implement it in my classroom!
