I would like to teach third graders how to play the Ukelele and then be able to build on that in fourth and fifth grades.
Using Ukuleles, we will be able to work on playing songs and accompanying our singing with chords, and will build finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination that is so important as they grow up!
My students don't often have the ability to take instrument lessons outside of my classroom, and by having Ukuleles they will get that experience. The tuners will help us to learn the concept of tuning and pitch as we learn how to tune them individually and as a group!
