We are located in a rural border community, that allows our students a variety of ways to see science and technology at work in their daily lives. From irrigation systems, to energy collectors, students are exposed to wind turbines on a large scale. As a STEM school we know that using models to represent real world situations and environments facilitates and makes learning concrete. Harnessing wind, and solar energy is a fast growing sector of our economy and aids in reduction of environment impact. Allowing students to be integrated and involved with technology that will impact their future, hopefully will develop a future generation of engaged citizens.
