Hi, I teach 10th-12th grade English at Sentinel Peak High School. At our school, we believe that we are a family and try to cultivate a culture that supports our students, faculty, and staff. We have incredible support from our administration, district, and community. Unfortunately, we are in a low socio-economic area and thus our kids do not get all the opportunities that they deserve. Across the state, it is hard to get supplies and technology into the classroom due to drastic budgets cuts to education at the state level.
I want to provide my students with an opportunity to experience using technology and become more prepared to enter the workforce as competitive, highly qualified individuals. Our students shouldn't lose out on opportunities just because of where they live or where they were born. They deserve to have access to tools that will enable them to be as successful as possible.
