We are a class of 30 students and we have access to 17 "working" laptops that we share between two classes. We use an online learning program that, according to the company, the students need to be on two 45 minute sessions per week and we are struggling. Our math program has an online component that supports all learners, those on, above and below grade level and we don't get to benefit from it. We have access to thousands of books, online, at every level, and we don't use it because our students get so frustrated with the laptops that we are concerned that will affect their desire to learn to read.
New laptops would benefit my students in ways I haven't dared to think about because, before Donorschoose, there was no way to make this dream come true!
