My students need materials that will allow me to transform my room into a Kinesthetic classroom. We will focus on the curriculum through movement activities. These activities will be used throughout the day . The Your generous donation to our project will improve our Kindergarten classroom by building a stronger class cohesion. Using movement activities will help build a sense of community and interaction among classmates. Allowing students to work together while learning and having fun. The materials will be used for various content based activities. The beanbags will be utilized a Beanbag snatch game. Students sit across from each other and try to be the first to "snatch" the correct color beanbag. Each color will represent an answer. They can be used for multiple choice answers, True or False Questions, Sight words and Number facts. The balls will be used for Over/Under relay. Groups of students form straight lines. Pass the ball over and under each time as a ball travels down the line. The last person brings it to the front and begins again. This is a great way to practice sequence of events and counting skills. The floor mats can be used for Descriptive Writing Hop. Students hop to each circle for each word in your sentence. Motivate each student to write more descriptive words. The ribbons can be used for answering questions or for placing students into different groups.
