I feel that chair pockets are a must in kindergarten. It is a great way to keep all of the materials given to each student safe and in one place. Every student in my classroom will receive the chair pocket. In my district, we can have anywhere from 25-30 students in each classroom. This makes it hard to keep materials safe and in one spot for each student.
By donating to my classroom, you will allow for each of my kindergartens to gain a sense of responsibility for their belongings.
Nothing is better than keeping all materials safe and sound behind their chair. This will be a great spot to store leveled books for each student, white boards, pencils, crayons, glue sticks etc! It is a great thing to have to keep the students in their seats once they are finished working. They are able to grab a book out of their chair pocket when finished with work early, or pull out the white board and practice writing letters and numbers!
