TIME for Kids and Scholastic News will give my students articles of events happening around the world. I can already imagine the wonderful discussions that will take place as we read about current affairs. It will also provide them with reading comprehension practice as I create questions to deepen their understanding of what we've read. Not only will each of these reading sources help my students in multiple areas of learning, it will also provide them with resources to bring home and share with their families. I believe that the classroom to home connection is VERY important in building relationships with our students and their families. Students will be able to continue their school discussions at home and have the opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas.

About my class
