Flexible seating for my special education resource classroom will be a new adventure for both my students and myself.
My classroom consists of students with high functioning autism, ADHD and specific learning disabilities.
By allowing my students the opportunity for flexible seating, my most active and distractible students will be able to channel their energy on a wobble chair. I have students who prefer to complete their work on the floor, which is where the wobble cushion will come in handy. Allowing for their minds to focus and their hands to be free to complete their independent work.
My adventure with flexible seating will allow students to be more responsible for their own learning by stay on task. Play a major role in their ability to self monitor their progress with their independent work and be a successful learner.
