My students are 3rd graders from Arizona. They are a terrific group of students who value their education and their peers. They are always trying to discover some new fact that their teacher (me) does not know, or a new strategy I have not taught them. They want to be the ones to teach their teacher (me) something new and this motivates them to go above and beyond what I ask of them. One of the students' favorite time of day is when we have centers. They catch on fast to the activity or game for each center so that they are able to work on the activity independently or play the game with their small group. The activities or games are engaging and hands-on. They are interactive so the students are learning the concept/skill we are focusing on for the week while having fun at the same time.
