My school is in a low-income area, and our special program is underfunded. We are a cluster of 7 ASD self-contained classrooms, and we would love to have a new printer so we can reliably print and prep lesson materials without relying on the school district.
I recently purchased (with my own money) a literacy curriculum that is differentiated and adapted to meet my students’ needs. My school has a printer for us, however it is old and unreliable. A lot of us rely on colored visuals and materials to teach our special learners. It would help us out tremendously.
As their teacher, I have seen how giving the students an opportunity to interact with new content in a multi-modal way helps them with their understanding. In order to do so, we need the supplies to print and prep it all.
