"Hello! My name is Rebecca and I am a music teacher in a South Philadelphia!
I have been teaching at this school since October 2015. I teach in a kindergarten to 8th grade school with around 850 students; I see all of them.
Since I am in a poverty stricken neighborhood, resources are very limited. Parts to my keyboard lab are breaking and the students are getting frustrated. Also, school supplies are paid for out of pocket. Since I am the music teacher, I am not included in the back to school lists. Being a young, new teacher, this is very challenging to support myself and my classroom. The reason I am asking for this is because my students deserve a classroom that right now I can not give them.
