I would like to incorporate the use of technology in my classroom for both academics and life skills lessons. Some of my students are non-verbal, which means they do not verbally communicate with others. Some students rely on little sign language and/or pointing to get the items they want or need. Some students are able to use verbal communication but at times it is difficult for them to express themselves. I have students who also are unable to physical write on paper, their motor skills are not developed. Using an Ipad would make daily tasks so much easier for them.
if given this opportunity to have a few IPads in the classroom my students will learn to use technology for both academics and life skill related tasks. My students can work on several different skills that they possibly would need to make themselves more independent.
