I teach at an elementary school in south Florida. My students love learning and reading. They thrive on fun and exciting activities that keep their interest while using hands-on items. My school is a Title I school where almost 90% of the students get free and reduced lunch. The community is a low socioeconomic area, and the budget of the school does not allow for us to be able to buy new supplies. Many of the students do not have very many books at home, and do not have library cards either. Some students struggle with reading, but still enjoy it quite a bit. They can escape from their daily lives by immersing themselves in a good book. Thank you for taking an interest in my school and my students. We would appreciate any donation that you are willing to make.
