These learning materials will make a world of difference for my students. We are a Title I school, almost all of our students receive free lunches, and our community has a very high poverty rate. These kids can use all the help they can get.
Learning can be FUN! With these materials, I hope to help students become more engaged and look at school in a whole new way. It would be wonderful to for my students to have access to a variety of hands on math and reading games/materials. This would also help encourage independent learning and social skills when playing with other students.
My students also love the Mo Willems books and they would be absolutely thrilled to be able to read the complete set. These would be great to use for discussing character traits and many of the ELA standards. Thank you for considering donating to our 1st/2nd grade class!
