I received these magazines my first year of teaching and the students loved looking at all the amazing and bold photos. The themes also gave us new jumping off points and topics to discuss in class that were tied to the curriculum.
The magazines helped the students build questions about the world around them and create connections with their daily lives. When discussing a unit about animals, the animals themed magazine came with pictures of different animals hatching from eggs. This inspired the students to look at the different ways that animals are born. The kids looked trying to figure out which animals came from eggs and which did not. This would be an amazing resource to have in the classroom again.
