The majority of my students are below the poverty line. However, many of them come to school everyday with an excitement to learn! In addition, many of my students are also English Second Language Learners. Reading is a very important part of the 5th grade curriculum, and I want my students to be excited about reading! I want my students to experience reading in multiple ways in my classroom, as well as help build their fluency and comprehension in the process.
