The struggles that our students sometimes bring to school can impact not only their learning, but the learning of others. By allowing our students to take a short break in the Mindfulness Corner, they are not excluded from their peers or from the learning that continues to take place. We are teaching our students that it is okay to take a break to make sure our minds are ready to learn and work. The mindfulness corner will allow them to refocus and regroup so they can get back to learning with their peers. The tools that will be purchased with this project will keep hands busy and minds engaged.
