We use microscopes quite a bit all throughout the year. Microscopes that are over 50 years old. Students LOVE microscope days as we are able to see a few items under magnification that we read about in textbooks. Yet, the age of the microscopes brings limitations.
Upgrading microscopes would allow us to see more detail into the cell, and would help greatly with forensic labs. With the compound microscopes selected, we would be able to see some of the major organelles of cells. We would see greater detail and differences with our forensic lab evidence. We could also create videos and images from the microscope that can be used with projects.
