The use of the alphabet tubs will give my students the tactile and objects to assist them in learning the alphabet as well as their sounds. The markers and magnetic letters will give them more opportunities to practice not only learning the letters, but also improve their fine motor skills. My students have all different abilities and learn through different strategies. Learning the basics, for example, letters and letter sounds can be a daunting task for them. They learn by touching and doing more than auditory alone.
Through the use of manipulatives, be it magnetic tracing, tactile sensory objects, or markers they can achieve their goals.
They love a challenge as well the feeling they can and will succeed with the right tools and guidance.
