The 4th graders at my school are all brilliant in their own way. They are all English language learners, so as their English language arts teacher, I'm really trying to focus on their phonics/writing. Each student is humbler than the next. They are the kindest and most polite students a teacher will ever meet because they are all grateful and motivated, wanting to learn. I know they will be very appreciative of these needed supplies, as they always are.
My students know Donors Choose very well; treating it like Santa Claus, they love it and are always very excited when they hear we're receiving something.
Working at a low-income school, I am always trying to think outside the box, as far as economically and creatively conjuring up ideas to motivate my students' learning. These kids are just so happy to get the opportunity to learn; they are satisfied with any learning tool given!
