In a small, exceptional learner community, school supplies are often lacking. Parent's plates are full; supply diapers and wipes, extra clothes, food for their picky eater. As educators we focus on basic hygiene, life skills, and job skills. We also teach standards given to us by the state. We forget how necessary the simple materials become. It is impossible to ask each student to bring the necessary items to fund a classroom community for an entire school year. Glue sticks can be used within a quarter, and clorox wipes can be used within a month. I am starting a new year, at a new school, in a NEW UNIT. I am building from scratch and need your help. The room is empty, my instructional money is limited, and my students depend on me. I know this goal is possible with the additional support of donors. I am grateful for the opportunity to have you as a sponsor.
