I teach special education in a large, diverse K-8 urban school in a high poverty area in Philadelphia. 100% of the students are eligible for free lunch. Most don't have their own technology at home to reinforce skills taught in school. They come from a diverse socioeconomic background. They live in a variety of different home situations but still come to school eager to learn. Their abilities are at least 2 to 3 grade levels below their current grade level.
