When I'm not hiking, traveling or watching Netflix, I teach a wonderful group in a small, specialized atmosphere where we focus on social & emotional well-being in conjunction with high quality academic learning. Most of awesome students are in grades 2-3 at NBTC located in New Britain, CT. Students reside in a low income urban district where a free breakfast & lunch are part of our routine school day in a trauma-informed district. We utilize creative methods including fidget "toys" & flexible seating to access our learning. Last year, we integrated yoga & visits from a therapy dog. Now we are increasing the hands-on science, art & math resources because my students need extra exposure to hands-on activities with lots of movement. Every day is a new adventure thanks to donors like you!
