Many of my students live in poverty. They come with very little school supplies in the fall and I often have to help supplement them with supplies from my own stock. Several of my students also have been diagnosed with ADD or come from high stress home environments that cause them to have problems with sitting still. These students need quiet stimulation to help them stay focused on their school work and learning.
