KCAPA Cinema is a Career & Technical Education, CTE style class. We believe in teaching children the basic technical aspects of the incredibly broad Film & Video Industry. We cover the aspects of Safety, Camera, Lighting, Exposure, Framing, Editing, Scripting, Storytelling, Licensing, and Producing.
We seek to prepare our kids for an ever changing industry by providing them with exposure to a broad range of jobs and industry disciplines. From there the focus is on developing the work ethic and soft skills that will eventually allow kids to specialize in their area of greatest capacity.
This is all done with the final goal of entry level industry employment or true readiness for the financial and academic burdens of a post-secondary education.
