The Igivearod fundraising drive is a grassroots effort to support rural Alaskan schools along the route of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. As the Red Lantern was carried into Nome on March 18th, 2019, the first-ever Igivearod came to an end with over $100,000 donated to Alaskan schools.
