We are thoroughly enjoying the new board games. The students have been enjoying learning new games and having more choices. Our class is enjoying playing these games with new people each time.\r\n\r\nPracticing our social skills has become much easier with these new games. The students are having the opportunity to practice taking turns, waiting patiently, and how to win or lose graciously. Our students have found that some games are more cooperative than others, and we are seeing the students cheer each other on. The more competitive games are also fun, and this is where we have an opportunity to practice winning and losing in healthy ways.\r\n\r\nThese board games have made such a difference for our class and students! Thanks to your kindness, my middle school students received much-needed art supplies including brayers, high-quality printing paper, vibrant paints, and a beautiful set of watercolors. These materials opened up a world of possibilities for creativity, experimentation, and joy that we otherwise would not have had access to.\r\n\r\nFrom the moment the supplies arrived, the excitement in my classroom was electric. Many of my students had never seen or used a brayer before, and watching them discover how to roll out ink, create textures, and experiment with printing techniques was truly inspiring. The printing paper allowed them to produce artwork with confidence, knowing that the quality of their paper matched the care they put into their designs. The paints and watercolors added another layer of expression, giving students the freedom to blend color, add detail, and bring their visions to life.\r\n\r\nWhat made this experience so meaningful was that it allowed students to step out of the ordinary. In a world where they are often asked to stay within strict guidelines or follow step-by-step instructions, this project gave them room to explore, take risks, and make creative decisions on their own. For many of them, it was the first time they felt like true artists. They weren't just coloring in the lines—they were designing, experimenting, and finding their own voice through visual art.\r\n\r\nOne student said, \"I didn't know you could make art like this. I thought printing was just something in books.\" Another shared, \"This is the most fun I've had in school all year.\" These small moments of joy and discovery are thanks to you. Your donation did more than provide supplies—it gave my students confidence, joy, and a sense of possibility. You made them feel seen, supported, and capable.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the artistic exploration, the project sparked deeper engagement in the classroom. Students collaborated, gave each other feedback, and took pride in their work in ways I hadn't seen before. It was especially rewarding to see students who don't always shine academically come alive through their artwork. They felt successful, proud, and inspired—and that spark has carried over into other areas of their learning as well.\r\n\r\nI sincerely thank you for believing in my students and investing in their creativity. Your support helped me build a classroom culture where curiosity, expression, and innovation are celebrated. The impact of your generosity will last far beyond this project, as the skills and confidence gained through this experience continue to grow.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this project possible. You've helped create lasting memories, meaningful experiences, and a classroom where students know their creativity matters.","fullyFundedDate":1690986042149,"projectUrl":"project/middle-schools-kids-just-want-to-create/7607923/","projectTitle":"Middle Schools Kids Just Want to Create","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Reich","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2411657_orig.jpg?crop=296,296,x0,y188&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746504943323","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2411657"},{"teacherId":1506192,"projectId":9056527,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our school with our focus on helping students become digital detectives.
